Hundreds of revellers on Sunday September 10th, 2017 stormed Kyadondo Rugby Grounds for the Kampala Colour Fun Run festival.
The event had lots of activities in which revellers participated like; the run, aerobics, adult bouncing castle, wood ball, Kwepena and others.
Those who attended participated in these activities so as to raise money for poor kids who can’t afford buying books and lack an opportunity to education.
The event’s first edition which was organized by Racheal Agaba was a motive to sell educative books to children.
The event that started at 10:00am and ended at 7:00pm was embraced fully by a several people who started entering as early as 11:00am and partied till late in the evening.
Talking to ChimpLyf website at the event, Agaba said that;
“In collaboration with Smart Toto, this event is purposefully to reach every community with books starting with Mpigi, where we initiated ‘Kaleke Kasome’ Foundation.”
She noted that “We want to build communities with learning facilities for illiterate children to have a learning opportunity.”
She also said that in Kampala at their head offices located at Mukwano Courts, Buganda Road, they offer books for both selling and borrowing.
Most of the participants were children and youth who came in company of their respective families.
Security was spearheaded headed by Dixon Bond Okello, while some of the celebrities who attended included TV star Denzel Mwityeresi, Bebe Cool’s son Allan Hendricks Ssali among others.
