It was an evening of happiness and merrymaking at the ‘Rwanda Connect Night’, which was held at Atmosphere Lounge in Kampala, on Sunday night.
The event which was dominated by Rwandese in Uganda, plus several Ugandans and Burundians, saw numerous revellers enjoy themselves to the fullest.
Revellers started sauntering into the venue at 8:00pm, ready to foster the unity between Ugandans, Rwandese and Burundi through partying.
This event was the second of its kind in Uganda following last year’s edition.
The gig was emceed by a band artiste only identified as Bryo Brian, who warmly welcomed all revellers to the venue.
Revellers were first entertained by Rwandan instrumentalist and live band artiste Jean Paul Samputu, who impressed revellers with his best vocals.
Samputu, a Rwandan UK based performer, said that;
“This is a good experience for me to be invited here.
I was here during my vacation and fortunately this chance found me ready.”
He added that “I am soon making a hit with a renowned Ugandan artiste.”
As earlier announced, Charly and Nina, who were the guest artistes, put up their best show by performing songs like; ‘Owooma’, ‘Mfata’ among others.
Later on at around 10:30Pm, DJ Pius of ‘Agataako’ who is a renowned DJ in Rwanda, stepped on stage to do an enthusiastic performance that fired up the audience.
The event ended at around 12:30am, although the partiers continued grooving to music by DJ Spinny as they enjoyed drinks till the wee hours of the morning.
