Internal Affairs Minister Jeje Odongo yesterday pinned a wealthy businessman as the one behind several women who have been murdered in Entebbe and Nansana in the past few days.
While appearing before parliament, Odong read a report about the unexplained murders, in which he named Ivan Katongole aka Jenus, a businessman at Kasenyi Landing Site who deals in Fish maw, as the one who has been spearheading the murders.
“The Katabi murders are linked to a serial killer called Katongole who is linked to ‘illuminati'(devil worship),” said Odong.
Odong also revealed that Katongole is currently in police detention undergoing interrogation after being found in possession of several female private parts, which he however failed to how he had acquired them, and for what purpose.
He noted that security sources investigating the matter have linked most of the murders to ritualistic practices and Illuminati, a secret society believed to make people rich quickly.
He however didn’t reveal how security forces had reached the conclusion of the women being murdered by Illuminati tycoons, but noted that investigations into the murders are still ongoing.
However, several legislators in parliament didn’t agree with Odong’s Illuminati explanations and asked him to reveal how investigations are being conducted.
Illuminati refers to people claiming to possess special enlightenment or knowledge of something, a sect of 16th-century Spanish heretics who claimed special religious enlightenment.
It is a Bavarian secret society founded in 1776, organized like the Freemasons, also known as Illuminati or devil worshipers, who sacrifice other people to the underworld in exchange for riches and fame.
