Star FM presenter and Station manager Mulindwa Muwonge has passed on today evening at Nsambya Hospital.
The veteran presenter and one of the longest serving radio personalities at the government-owned station has been battling low blood pressure for a week now.
He was admitted to Nsambya on Wednesday last week after several unsuccessful treatments at a clinic in Rubaga.
Recently, we reported how Mulindwa was at the uptown hospital’s Intensive care unit (ICU) where no one was granted access.
His condition, according to sources started out as simple flue but later escalated.
“He thought it was a simple illness that he took to Lion’s center in Rubaga,” a source said.
After failed treatment at the clinic, he was referred to Nsambya Hospital.
Before passing on, Mulindwa was breathing through machines.
Mulindwa rose to fame through CBS FM program “Ekijjoomanyi” before quitting for greener pastures at Super FM and later to Star FM.
