Bobi Wine Appointed to Parliamentary Human Rights Committee

The newly sworn-in Kyadondo East Member of Parliament (MP), Robert Kyagulanyi also known as Bobi Wine has been appointed to the Human Rights Committee of Parliament.

Hardly a week into Parliament, the Kyadondo legislator already has two committee appointments.

First, he was appointed to The Presidential Affairs Committee chaired by the Adjumani Woman MP Jesca Ababiku few hours after his swearing-in ceremony.

On The Human Rights Committee, Bobi Wine will be headed by Mitooma District Woman MP, Jovah Kamateeka.

The Speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga revealed Bobi Wine’s appointment to the committee on Wednesday evening’s plenary session.

“Yesterday we were nominating members to standing committees, I would like to nominate Hon. Robert Kuagulanyi to the Human Rights Committee,” Kadaga said.

“I appointed Kyagulanyi and shifted the Buliisa County MP Stephen Mukitale from PAC to Budget Committee,” she added.
